A Legacy of Innovation Since 1837

From Ipswich Roots to Global Recognition

Our roots run deep here in Ipswich, stretching back to 1837 with the founding of E.R. & F. Turner. From these early beginnings, a passion for engineering and a commitment to quality took hold. This spirit led E.R. & F. Turner to showcase their innovations at the prestigious Great Exhibition in 1851.

In 1858, another significant chapter began with the establishment of Christy & Norris, further solidifying our reputation for engineering excellence. Innovation continued to drive us, and in 1862, E.R. & F. Turner produced their first Flour Roller Mill, a testament to our early prowess in milling technology.

Engineering Beyond Boundaries

Our inventive spirit wasn't confined to industrial machinery. In 1908, E.R. & F. Turner even ventured into the automotive world, producing the Orleans 35h.p. car, showcasing the breadth of our engineering capabilities.

The mid-19^th Century was responsible for a significant period of ER & F Turner’s market growth in the crushing, flaking, size reduction and cereal sectors, laying the foundation for our current expertise. This focus expanded in 1986 with the strategic acquisition of Miracle Mills, further broadening our product range and market reach.

Uniting Experience and Expertise

The late 20th century saw us continue to innovate in specific areas. In 1990, we celebrated the production of our first 600 Flaking Mill, a cornerstone of our current flaking technology, as well as a 50% expansion of the manufacturing facilities.

The early 2000s brought together a wealth of experience and expertise. In 2004, Christy Norris / Hunt joined the group, strengthening our collective knowledge and capabilities. This unification led to a significant milestone in 2005, as the group rebranded as "Christy Turner", forging a unified identity for our global operations.

Innovation Driving the Future

Our commitment to innovation remained unwavering in the following years. We achieved new milestones with the production of the first 600V Flaking Mill in 2015, followed by the introduction of a new Steam Conditioner in 2019, enhancing the efficiency and versatility of our machinery.

The spirit of innovation continued into the new decade, with the production of the first 600BCV2 Flaking Mill in 2020, the first 600VI Flaking Mill in 2023, and in 2024, the launch of CT7, direct replacement our popular LB7 products, and the production of our first Lump Breaker.
