Everything You Need to Know About Christy Turner Milling Equipment
Understanding Our Products
Each machine serves a distinct purpose.
- Flaking Mills compress material between precision-engineered rolls to produce uniform flakes ideal for cereals, grains and animal feed.
- Roller Mills crush and grind material for controlled particle size and a clean, efficient process.
- Hammer Mills use high-speed rotating hammers for size reduction of tougher or more abrasive materials.
- Pulverizers produce very fine powders for specialised applications.
Our engineers can advise on the most suitable equipment for your process.
Our machinery is used across a wide range of industries and materials, including cereals, grains, animal feed, biomass, minerals, glass, recycling, herbs and spices. If you are uncertain whether your material is suitable, we can arrange one of our engineers to visit you and discuss your needs.
Our designs have been refined over many decades to handle demanding applications. For abrasive materials we offer wear-resistant linings, hammers and rolls, while fibrous materials are processed efficiently through optimised airflow and screen configurations.
Capacities vary according to the material, feed rate and required particle or flake size. We manufacture machines from laboratory and pilot-scale models to high-capacity production systems. Our team can provide indicative outputs based on your specifications.
Yes. All rolls and key components are manufactured and serviced in-house at our facility in Ipswich, Suffolk ensuring full control over quality, tolerances and turnaround times.
Machine Selection
Selecting the right mill depends on the material characteristics, target output and production goals. Our technical team can assess your process, conduct material trials if required, and recommend the most appropriate machine and configuration.
