John Fagetter has joined Christy Turner as our new Fitter.
The role requires a variety of precision skills including everything from Fitting Shop assembly and sub assembly of machines to the detailed servicing of our customers’ rolling mills, flaking mills, hammer mills and pulverizers, either on site or in our workshop. John has turned his hand to multiple challenges, and he obviously carries his engineering enthusiasm home with him as his hobby is classic car restoration.
Already an asset to our team, John has recently been a key part of our new Test Centre build and washroom relocation: removing the old boiler, sinks and urinals and plumbing in new sanitary ware and washing machine, all to national safety standards.
Bob Rudd, Christy Turner Production Manager is clearly impressed with John’s work:
“John has settled in very well and turned out to be a huge asset to the company, showing a diverse set of skills already.
He has completed many fitting jobs and even stepped up to the welding bay to finish urgent jobs when our welder was off sick.
His fitting, plumbing and welding skills are equal to my own and is something I do not say very lightly”
Praise indeed. Welcome to The Christy Turner family, John.
